Barrin has always got a project going on.....which we don't complain, because the end results are worth a little labor and manhours!

It's been a while; the weather's gotten warmer, kids getting bigger, had more time to do things.

Our latest projects have been 'Revamping' our 9 1/2 acres just below the Blue Ridge Parkway (Milepost 234) in Sparta, NC.

We've cleared out a passable driveway off of our old logging road, and cleared out a campsite ~ where 3 creeks merge into 1. Stacked firewood, moved some boulders, cleared the streambed, got the hammock up now.

Then we bought in Project #2: a 1972 24' Terry TravelPak (gotta love a classic).

We gave it a fresh coat of paint outside from top to bottom, took out rotten walls and ceilings, gave it a new floor, and some paint here and there. We wanted to keep it original looking ~ and keep spending cost right at 1k. Success!

We're now camping, enjoying Mother Nature, listening to the night-time Whooporwills, Grouse, Owls, Raccoons, and everything else that lives here in the dark woods. Here are pictures of THESE projects' end results!
